Graduating from Iowa State University in 2009, I received a Bachelors of Landscape Architecture (BLA) in the 5 year Landscape Architecture program with a minor in Digital Media. Ever since I was a little girl I've loved the great outdoors and all that it has to offer. My two greatest passions are designing and photography.
I love to capture the simple essence of nature that is often overlooked, to find joy in the simple things that life has to offer. My goal is to capture these moments in the most beautiful, fun, and artistic ways possible to provide only the best quality to my clients.

WORK HISTORY
While attending college I worked a few part time jobs that led me to where I am now. My first was a summer worker for a plant nursery in the retail department. I absolutely loved this job and returned the next summer as a residential designer. The next summers of 2008 and 2009 progressed into becoming a Naturalist at Ledges State Park. I was able to work outside everyday in one of my favorite places in the state working with prairies, snakes, and turtles (which later became the theme for my son's room and his first word!) After finishing college I went on to work with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) in a temporary Position for the River Programs division. My specialty was designing low-head dam warning signage for safety issues around the state. This involved not only the signs, but many site reviews to find the best placement for the signs, construction documents, writing permits, and creating master plans to present to the dam owners. Seasonal positions eventual end and I moved onto the Conservation Corps of Iowa but was again placed with the DNR River Programs working in my same cube still on dam signage but it expanded into project management and design of those projects for a 5 person work crew. My career path has led me back to my greatest passion, being outdoors designing with nature's plants. I am happy to be where I am now!
